"Mediating the Insured Claim"
The presentation will address problems encountered in mediating
traditional bargaining involved in insured claims. We will discuss techniques that will arm mediators to successfully
mediate claims for money where the case is about dollars rather than relationships. We will discuss methods the mediator
can use to help the parties respond to roadblocks frequently encountered in traditional bargaining of insured claims such
as "I am not going to negotiate against myself" or "That offers insulting and I am not going to respond."
